Superbowl NFL: albo d’oro del campionato USA di football americano

Il Superbowl NFL è la finale che assegna il titolo di campione della National Football League, meglio nota come NFL, ovvero la lega professionistica di football americano degli Stati Uniti.

Sebbene il football americano abbia storia antica negli Stati Uniti, la prima edizione della finalissima si tenne soltanto al termine della stagione 1966, quando venne organizzata fra le vincitrici dei due campionati professionistici più importanti degli USA, la NFL e la AFL.

Poi, dopo le prime quattro edizioni, le due leghe si fusero mantenendo il nome della NFL (National Football League) e scegliendo il format del torneo, rimasto immutato. Le due conference, a loro volta divise in quattro division (East, North, West e South), per un totale di 32 franchigie.
